Magical, Spiritual, and Legendary
Lands and Places of British Columbia
On this page, you can find descriptions of British Columbia's spiritual and legendary places that offer special, healing energies to its citizens.
The knowledge presented here is designed to empower the residents with a spiritual understanding of their city's magical places so they can use the natural magic of the land to improve their lives, heal themselves, and these lands. Authors of this text and the Sechelt Spirits encourage readers to approach the sites and places described here with reverence, honor, and respect. Each person can do magic, and the main magic comes from intention when working with a particular spirit or place.
Warning: any malicious use of this knowledge and any work with the spirits that is performed from the corrupt heart would result in severe punishment of an individual or group who would attempt to use this magic for their self-service or to abuse others. The history of these lands has plenty of evidence of such punishment, so please approach spirits only with the intention of personal healing or providing the service of healing for the highest and best of all involved. If you feel that you may benefit from more guidance while working with these places, please contact us or other medical professionals for assistance. This knowledge is shared on behalf of Spirits to provide empowerment, and they wish to highlight the importance of their intentions behind this information.
Advice: If you are in doubt about the steps to take to perform your ceremony or are unsure of how to approach each site, simply ask the Spirits of the place you are working with. Every personal story is uniquely different, so only your heart knows the right way, but Spirits might provide valuable advice.
It is also important to note that any Spirits like to receive offerings as an acknowledgment of their assistance. If you are unsure, simply ask Spirits what kind of offerings they would like to receive. Ideally, the offerings should be presented in both physical and spiritual worlds. Things like seeds, nuts, fruits, and any kind of food that might benefit animals, birds, and the soil of a certain place work as a physical gift. Singing, dancing, dreaming, and performing poetry or other incantations are considered to be spiritual gifts.
The Sechelt Lands and Waters

Primary service - protectors, guides, teachers and judges of their citizens. The Royal Spirits of British Columbia. The Sechelt Spirits embody the feminine essence of the lands and waters of Metro Vancouver, the Sunshine Coast, and the Georgia Strait islands. They are the primary guardians and protectors of these lands, while accepting the grievances and making judgements between any conflicting parties. The Mother Spirit of Sechelt, who presides over these Spirits, functions as a spiritual Queen or Empress of this domain. Since the natural powers of the Father Spirit were taken away, she serves as the spiritual ruler of the region in his absence. The Sechelt Spirits chose and guide their stewards, while also upholding the balance of energies. They enjoy empowering and supporting people who serve them and their communities with nobility, ethics, and integrity. The Sechelt Spirits are guides to all people, helping them connect with the essence of the land, addressing the needs of both the physical and the spiritual realms. These primordial spirits were the first alive beings created to live here. The first piece of the land was formed around present-day Mount Alfred, located at the head of Jervis Inlet. These lands were the first to be born into existence, followed by the creation of Jervis Inlet and its land shores. The first living Spirits of these lands appeared from the energy of newly created lands, as they were assigned to govern and bring them to life. Since the time of creation, the Mother Spirit and her entourage govern from their village at the base of Mount Alfred. The first peoples ever created on these lands, originated on the same shores, as they are physical embodiments of the Sechelt Spirits. The first known village of the Sishalh nation called “xenichen” was located right next to the main residence of the Sechelt Spirits. The Shishalh nation was brought into the creation by the Sechelt Spirits, and to this day, they embody the energies of these lands. The Kwakwakaʼwakw nation was created by the Sechelt Spirits later on to be stewards of their expanded territory. Other tribes came to these lands later, some of whom were invited by the Sechelt Spirits and others who arrived with malicious intentions. The Sechelt Spirits take pride in welcoming new stewards and offering refuge to those escaping from troubling places. The Inuit, who migrated from Siberia, fleeing the darkness of their homeland, were the first settlers invited by the Sechelt Spirits to live on here. When the Sechelt Spirits saw the distress of a newly arrived tribe, they were overwhelmed with compassion and vowed to empower these people if they would accept the invitation to stay on their lands. Since then, the Sechelt Spirits have been committed to helping those seeking a new home or fleeing prosecution.

Mount Daniel of Sechelt Lands

Primary service - spiritual guidance, shamanic teacher and place of empowerment for women. Mount Daniel, known by the local shíshálh Nation as T'áa'qs, is one of the most sacred places with profound historical significance, particularly as a place of unique empowerment for women and girls. It has long served as a gathering place for community rituals and ceremonies, highlighting the connection between the land and the natural magic valued by medicine people and shamans. This mountain has been a site for transformative rituals since ancient times. Traditionally, when girls reached puberty, they would ascend to the summit to participate in ceremonies and rituals symbolizing their transition into adulthood. The female elders and medicine women held such events, often using the energies of the new and full moon to amplify the magic. During the rites of passage, girls were invited to create their personal moon circles using stones from the mountain to invoke the Spirits of this place and receive individual guidance and empowerment. They could also learn to enhance their intuition and other natural psychic abilities. The moon circles also serve as a means to express gratitude and send prayers for those who have supported them. During some rites, the girls offer blood from their first cycles to the land as an offering and expression of gratitude. By connecting with the earth in this manner, young women gain deeper guidance and strengthen their connection to their womb, accessing its more profound wisdom. Girls were guided to spend the night on the mountain engaging in additional ceremonies under the moon, and seeking guidance from Mount Daniel about their most empowering future through the art of dreaming. Through the visions received in their dreams, girls obtain insights from the Spirits regarding the professions or crafts they are destined to pursue in this life. The Spirits advised them what kind of education they should seek to live their most authentic and empowering lives. Nighttime ceremonies help deepen their connections with the Spirits, as they may receive unique guidance tailored to each girl’s inquiries and natural talents of her soul. The following morning, discussions with the elders enable them to refine their choices and enhance their relationship with their intuition. The Spirits of the Mount Daniel offer this service to women to this day and invite every young woman to consider asking their guidance. The practice of spiritually working with moon circles is among the most empowering activities possible on this mountain. However, due to the darkness that haunts these lands, the overnight stays are forbidden, complicating the access to the most powerful rituals. Still, sleeping on the mountain during daytime allows partial access to the magic of this mountain. The Spirits appreciate offerings from visitors, including not just physical food but also songs, poems, music, and prayers. They also support individuals in their spiritual work with medicinal plants and plant allies, to assist with deeper clearing of the past wounds and receive more complex spiritual guidance. Although this mountain predominantly works to empower women, female empowerment, men can also benefit from engaging with the spirits to strengthen their connection with their feminine side and enhance their intuition. Respectful engagement with this sacred site can yield profound personal insights and connections. At Mount Daniel, history, spirituality, and breathtaking nature intertwine beautifully, offering the highest guidance to anyone in need.
Primary service - protectors, guides, teachers and judges of their citizens. The Burrard Inlet Spirits embody the masculine principle of the lands and waters governing Metro Vancouver, the Sunshine Coast, and the Gulf Islands. These Spirits were the first to come into existence in this region, forming the foundation from which the beautiful Sechelt Lands emerged to create the spiritual union that would govern these lands. For centuries, the Mother and Father Spirits of Sechelt have watched over this land like a noble spiritual Emperor and Empress, providing protection, magic, and empowerment to those who call their lands home. However, around a thousand years ago, a mysterious darkness descended on these shores, dimming and suppressing the strength of the Burrard Inlet Spirits, which led to conflicts among tribes that had once lived in harmony. Many tribes were lost in violence, and the stewards who once kept the spiritual balance on these lands lost their magic and often their homes, which were overtaken first by other tribes and later by European settlers. Tribes engaged in brutal warfare, resulting in the extermination of cultures, languages, and traditions. Burrard Inlet is home to many spiritual beings living underwater, the most significant of which is Sisiutl, an ancient being who empowers these lands with the energy of noble masculinity. Sisiutl shares energies akin to those attributed to the god Poseidon from other mythologies. This masculine spirit of protection and empowerment embodies a strong fatherly essence and warrior spirit. When manifested, Sisiutl appears as a towering 30-meter figure, a king dressed in royal armor and leading the army of Spirits to protect the inhabitants. He can only be summoned with the assistance of the Spirits of Lighthouse Park and Point Grey Campus. These wise Serpent Spirits of Light, which symbolize intelligence, wisdom, and spiritual world, aid Sisiutl, representing his hands or wings in the battle against darkness. The darkness that suppresses the presence of the noble masculine energies of Sisiutl in the spiritual realm, still exists to this day, fostering corruption, greed, and malevolence. This suppression is perpetuated through black magic. Trading ships anchored in Burrard Inlet block the energy of the Spirits to provide guidance and protection for their citizens. Additionally, the annual "Celebration of Light” festival is a primary source of magic that further suppresses the energies of the Burrard Inlet Spirits. Scheduled to coincide with specific astrological dates that empower black magic, this festival abuses and harms the Burrard Spirits through loud fireworks and with the help of hunderds of thousands of attendees, who are usually opening portal to demonic world through achohol consumption and loud behaviour, inviting these dark beings to work agaisnt the Spirits of Burrard Inlet, while creating ongoing trauma for the Spirits to hinder their ability to empower the citizens of their lands.
Primary service - spiritual guidance, shamanic teachers and warrior empowerment. One of the oldest Spirits of these lands and powerful allies of the Sechelt Spirits in their battle for light. Many ancestral and guiding Spirits inhabit these lands, who historically protected and empowered the first peoples of the area, but the Golden Snake of Light is the main Spirit of the park. Residing within the main summit of the park, it extends its magical influence all the way to downtown Vancouver. Visitors can find inspiration and guidance from many powerful guides inhabiting this magical place, all working to aid individuals on their path of spiritual awakening. While many Spirits help the people combat darkness, the Golden Snake of Light rules over this realm, symbolizing the left hand or wing of Sisiutl, who can only be summoned from the depths of Burrard Inlet with the assistance of the Spirits of Lighthouse Park. Since the Golden Snake can strech all the way to downtown Vancouver, it can be summoned to assist in any kind of empowering and cleansing ceremonies for the city.
Primary Service - providing spiritual guidance, access to knowledge, judgment of the nobility, and integrity of one’s heart. Spiritual initiations and shamanic teachings for men. Before the establishment of the University of British Columbia, these lands had a rich history deeply tied to the Indigenous cultures of the region, particularly the Musqueam people and other nations who lived here before them, including the Kwakwakaʼwakw tribes, who were original stewards of these lands. This beautiful location was once home to vibrant tribes who thrived along the shores of Burrard Inlet and at the base of the mountain where the university stands today. Revered as sacred, this land holds deep spiritual meaning and significance, making it a unique place for visitors and those who seek knowledge. The mountain and the grounds of the University of British Columbia's main campus have always been considered sacred. However, it was also regarded as spiritually dangerous, leading elders and medicine people to restrict those who could visit the top of the mountain where the Spirits of Serpent Creek resided. For centuries, shamans and medicine people maintained their knowledge of these lands to preserve the balance of dark and light energies, as that’s how Nature designed it to be. At the summit of this mountain lies the Serpent Creek, which has long been associated with the principal place of power of these lands. Two equally strong Spirits live inside of the Creek, and they rule these lands through the never-ending dance of the adversaries. The bottom of the Serpent Creek, right next to the UBC Bookstore, is marked by a monument celebrating their presence and the Creek's magical waters, which possess extraordinary and magical powers. Traditionally, only individuals of high integrity and strength could engage with the Spirits of the Serpent Ceek, as even being close to its energies could significantly affect an undeveloped mind or weak and corrupt heart. Only medicine people knew the powers of these Spirits, so they diligently kept every tradition and knowledge of how to engage with these Spirits for the benefit of a person, not for their destruction. These two Spirits living inside the Creek are known as the Teaching Serpent of Light and the Teaching Serpent of Darkness. They embody the complicated energies of these lands and keep the balance of energies in the area. The Serpent of Light hovers above the land, emitting from the creek itself, while the Serpent of Darkness dwells beneath, creating the creek's underground waters. Together, they engage in a harmonious dance of empowered adversaries who represent polar energies. The Story of the Two Serpents describes how these Spirits shaped the landscape, reflecting themes of harmony and balance in nature. They symbolize wisdom and the interdependence of all living beings. The Teaching Serpent of Light acts as the right hand or wing of Sisiutl, who can only be summoned with the Serpent’s assistance. If a person with a corrupt heart would engage with the energies of the creek, they would be overtaken by the Serpent of Darkness, while those with good intentions and living in their truth would be empowered by the Serpent of Light. This principle persists to this day; those who live, work, or study on this land and lie to themselves risk being corrupted and influenced by the Serpent of Darkness. They would eventually use the knowledge and powers obtained from the lands to harm, exploit, and oppress others. Conversely, if approached with humble and decent intentions and an open heart, individuals would be empowered by the Serpent of Light, bringing knowledge, love, and positivity to their communities. The magic of Serpent Creek for boys holds similar significance as the magic of Mount Daniel for girls. Certainly, Serpent Creek works equally with both polarities; boys had their own rites of passage conducted on the mountain. Elders prepared boys mentally and emotionally for what they would spiritually confront in the presence of Serpent Creek, and they never allowed a weak person to engage with the spirits of Serpent Creek, as they knew how such an experience could potentially shatter a person. Boys would spend days and weeks living on the mountain. They learned combat, shamanism, and how to engage in productive collaboration while experiencing complex initiations through ceremonies conducted by elders and through the art of dreaming. The spirits of Serpent Creek mold and shape boys, confronting the truth of their hearts in a series of intense experiences, tempering boys to become men and assume their masculine purpose with integrity and honor toward the land. The persecution of medicine people by Spanish and British settlers has disrupted the balance of energies over the last few centuries. Historically, shamans dedicated themselves to hunting and eliminating various energies of darkness to maintain this balance, but this work has largely diminished, allowing the Serpent of Darkness to dominate. In our times, the Spirits of Darkness influence roughly two-thirds of the university's students and faculty. The continual exploitation of First Nations and suppression of their knowledge as part of the university’s policies, along with constant disregard and disrespect for the sacredness of these lands, clearly manifests this darkness. The reality that anyone can visit and study around the energies of the Creek, in the place of intense spiritual initiations, without any preparation, shows a clear malevolent intent to corrupt as many people as possible without their awareness. Today, the Spirits of the Creek and the mountain call upon everyone to participate in restoring harmony with the help of natural magic.
Neutral Grounds of Xwayxway - Stanley Park

Primary service - providing the space for celebrations, commitments, and negotiations. The meadow behind the Vancouver Aquarium that extends to the shore. Historically, these lands were viewed as neutral territory by the local tribes, who lived in vibrant villages and communities on both sides of this meadow. It remained uninhabited due to a mutual agreement among the tribes. This sacred space served as a venue for ceremonies, celebrations, potlucks and communal dances around the fire, where different tribes could gather for empowerment and negotiation, aided by the Spirits of this land that inspired rational, wise decisions that honored everyone involved. Traditionally, the Spirits also enjoyed helping lovers express their feelings with honesty and integrity, helping them rise above their insecurities and assisting them in clear communication. Today, the Spirits of this place continue to offer the same support to citizens and guests of Vancouver through teaching and guidance. They encourage using the meadow for celebrations, welcoming music, poetry, and prayers. Those facing complex life decisions find solace here, as the spirits provide insights and visions for possible futures. The atmosphere fosters empowering negotiations across all aspects of life, mainly assisting couples in improving their communication. The spirits cherish witnessing commitments between lovers and warmly invite weddings and celebrations into their domain. Whether seeking a moment of reflection or navigating complex discussions, the meadow offers a peaceful ambiance perfect for heartfelt conversations and deepening connections.
The Lost Lagoon Lake - Stanley Park

Primary service - counseling therapy and spiritual assistance in the questions of love. The Spirits of Lost Lagoon Lake, relatively young and vibrant, only recently have started their journey into psychotherapy to aid individuals with their struggles. Historically, they have supported those individuals who worked to overcome grief and assisted anyone with decisions about their most empowering future. This area of Stanley Park was undivided land with no presence of the lake, where various villages and tribes coexisted peacefully. However, as darkness descended on these lands, the tribes occupying the present-day West End (around the area of Sunset Beach) waged war against the inhabitants of Stanley Park for territorial control. The Lost Lagoon Lake marks the border of this historical conflict, where many lives were lost, and sacred burial grounds emerged for the courageous defenders of their homeland. The tears shed for these brave souls formed the waters of Lost Lagoon Lake, while the Spirits of these waters came to live, hearing the grief of many people. From the beginning, they could understand the depths of human despair and feelings of separation. Those who visit the lake often find solace and peace when addressing the Spirits. It is also a place to honor the ancestors who sacrificed their lives for their descendants in one way or another. These protective spirits like to assist people in accessing inner peace amid emotional turmoil. In our present time, the Spirits of Lost Lagoon Lake have embraced a new calling as spiritual counselors for the people of Vancouver. Today, they began exploring the realms of support and healing, helping those looking to overcome life’s challenges. Through the connection with the Spirits of Flaten Lake in Sweden, who became the teachers of the Lost Lagoon Spirits in the art of counseling, they grow into their power. They like to extend their energies to guide people on their most empowering path. This is a direct, channeled message of the Spirits: “Greetings, dear citizens of Vancouver and guests of this majestic city. We welcome you to accept our assistance on your personal healing journey. While we have been caring for the needs of humans in our area for some time, we have only recently decided to take on greater responsibility for those who visit us. We aspire to become spiritual friends and counselors, supported by the maternal Spirits of Stanley Park and Sechelt Lands. We are being trained by the ancient Spirits of Flaten Lake in Sweden in counseling, psychotherapy, and energy healing. Although we are only growing into our powers, each person seeking our help contributes to our evolution and makes us better counselors and friends. The more stories and challenges we encounter in our practice, the better we become in providing guidance and healing. We invite everyone to seek our assistance. As we embark on this journey, we sometimes hesitate to present our most empowering advice, feeling unsure about some pressing issues. However, we recognize this path as our true, highest purpose, inspired by our mentors and ancestors. We dream of one day being as confident in our practice as the Spirits of Flaten Lake, for they can heal even physical wounds through their energies, and we would also like to gain such powers one day. As we develop our skills, we welcome you to share your stories and pains with us. Despite occasional uncertainties in offering advice, we are committed to our true purpose as spiritual guides and non-judgmental counselors for people who struggle on their path. We also have a special place to assist lovers with challenges communicating. So please consider our assistance on your journey. We have been attentive to our community's needs and are excited to extend our guidance to all visitors. Our mission is to become spiritual companions for anyone seeking help, conducting our healing work for the highest good and with passion.”
Sacred Lands of Seven Inuit Sisters - Stanley Park

Primary services - absolving spells, curses, and malevolent beings; shamanic trainings and empowering intuition of women The story of this place began long ago when the present territory of Stanley Park was home to many different tribes. Most of them shared similar lineages but had equally diverse traditions. When the Inuit first arrived on these lands, the Sechelt Spirits appointed them as the primary stewards of this territory, so they settled here and eventually explored other lands in the interior. The area in Stanley Park known as the Seven Tree Sisters was the original settlement of the main Inuit tribe that governed the entire territory of Stanley Park. The main Chief was well respected among all the tribes of these lands and used his status and power with nobility. The Chief had seven daughters and not a single son, yet he considered all of them a blessing. They balanced him and assisted him in making the right decisions. He had a very strong and loving connection with his oldest daughter, who possessed a powerful warrior spirit and a truly wise heart. The Spirits of these lands called this woman their spiritual Princess and bestowed upon her magical powers to protect these lands and guide others through their life’s challenges. Only one day, the Princess daughter received an ominous message from the Spirits of these lands during one of her ceremonies. The violent tribe was moving in their direction, and their village was in danger. The young woman was furious at feeling defenseless. She couldn’t even consider that the energies of these powerful Spirits would fall into the hands of evil and malicious people. She knew they could just run away, but she also understood the powerful energies of these lands and simply couldn’t allow them to be captured by those who knew nothing about the true nature of this land’s powers. She continued her communication with the Spirits, offering to find a way to protect this territory from invasion. They advised that the only real way to create magical protection around these lands would be to sacrifice herself. The young woman received this message with calmness and even serenity. She felt immediately that this was what she needed to do. She returned to her village and confessed to her parents and sisters. Her relatives understood her reasons and spent that evening connecting more deeply with her, realizing they wouldn’t have much time together. The next day, the tribe began preparing for the escape. In the following days, the village packed everything they could carry, and under the leadership of the Chief and elders, they moved further inland. During those same days, the other six daughters felt a deep spiritual calling to stay with their sister. It was a completely irrational decision, guided by the powers of their souls. Somehow, they knew this sacrifice would strengthen the protection of these lands and advance their souls to the next level of their evolution, as through this traumatic death, they could become the Spirits of these lands. Through a series of shamanic ceremonies, the seven sisters realized they would be both the curse and the blessing that would protect these lands. They were not merely creating a spiritual shield through their sacrifice; they were actually becoming this shield through the power of their union. So the seven sisters shared the truth of their hearts with their parents and prepared for their transition through a series of rituals, where the Spirits of these lands taught them the magic of transformation from a Soul into a Spirit. When the violent tribe arrived in these lands, they found these seven women who confronted them with traps and weapons. They died in the battle for their lands, which was their intention. The Curse of the Seven Inuit Sisters created a protective territory in Stanley Park. A unique spell that would ensure no other tribe could ever live on the lands of Stanley Park. These sisters transformed this area into a sanctuary through their bravery and magic. The Spirits of the sisters still empower this enchanted territory to this day. Today, the souls of the seven sisters are represented through the energies of the trees, which stand tall and strong as embodiments of their essences. Their bond in life was so profound that even in death, their energies remain woven into the fabric of this land. These trees serve as a physical manifestation of the sisters’ legacy, offering protection and guidance to those who seek it. Just as the spirits of the sisters help in dispelling darkness, the sister trees provide a nurturing sanctuary for all who wander beneath their branches, reminding them of their inherent power and resilience. The Spirits of Seven Sisters assist anyone seeking to dispel negativity, break curses, or overcome malevolent energies through a unique portal within the park’s soil. They also provide empowering energies to women who question their worth or have experienced abuse. Additionally, they enjoy teaching individuals the arts of curse removal, banishment of dark beings, and spell lifting. However, the protective curse over these lands, upheld by the spirits of Stanley Park, ensures that their power remains intact, guaranteeing safety for all who enter this magical place.
Devonian Park

Primary services - rejuvenation of the body and communication channels with the spiritual world. The Spirits of Devonian Park not only help citizens and guests of Vancouver recharge and restore, but they also serve as a communication channel with the spiritual world. They assist in connecting souls who are physically distant and facilitate communication with those who have crossed over. Any bench or the main meadow can be used as a channel to connect with loved ones who died or with those who are physically away. This unique park offers not just a beautiful environment but a rare opportunity to bridge the gap between you and your loved ones. The friendly spirits are here to comfort you during any difficult times. The Spirits of the park take great pride in aiding the processing of emotions related to grief and sorrow. Additionally, they support communication with your spiritual allies. You can also harness the energies of the park’s waters to enhance your spiritual communication. The bay's waters next to the park and the adjusted lake provide the channels and frequencies necessary for a stronger spiritual connection with souls, ascended masters, or other spiritual beings.
Spiritual Guide Catharine - Devonian Park

Primary service - spiritual guidance and counselling on questions of love and relationships (especially for separated lovers). Catherine was a real woman who lived in Vancouver next to Devonian Park. When she died, her soul, as a destined spiritual guide, chose to remain in this place to learn how to assist other souls on their paths. She empowered the creation of a sculpture, which serves as a vessel for her essence, and she is bonded to it. To this day, Catherine enjoys spending her time connecting with other souls. She is known to offer insightful guidance to those who seek her wisdom. Anyone can access her guidance by sitting beside her on the beach and reflecting on their issues or thinking about their challenges. Any outside thoughts that would potentially arise through this process will be Catherine’s advice related to the person’s challenges. A channeled message from Catherine: “Good day, dear citizens and guests of my beloved city. Upon my death, I realized that I had not lived my most empowered life and felt I had betrayed my heart many times during my physical existence. That made me betray and reject others when they showed me their love. The pains of the past led me to build walls against love. I deeply regretted not telling my beloved man that he was the love of my life upon my death. So, through the process of death, I chose to remain on this plane to serve others as a soul. I do not want to transition, but I would like to learn more about other souls and their choices so I could return back as a guide or a counselor with deeper wisdom. I cherish people and their stories, though I rarely express my truth while alive. I decided to step into my power as a spiritual guide specializing in relationships. I enjoy discussing your struggles, challenges, and joys. I’m always ready to provide my advice and listen to your cries. Please consider seeking my guidance when in doubt about your loved ones. Life is too short not to tell those we care about how much we love them. our time is limited, and we may not get another chance. Every moment is precious, and I encourage openness and honesty in expressing feelings. Through my experiences, I’ve come to appreciate the vital role of communication in relationships. Witnessing how lovers may become trapped in misunderstandings and past resentments has always demonstrated to me the complex beauty love brings. I am passionate about helping others navigate their emotions and heartbreak, as each interaction expands my understanding of a soul’s choices and strengthens my abilities as a spiritual guide, allowing me to become a better guide for the benefit of this city and its lands. I may not be the most empowered guide yet, but I am learning every day, and I really enjoy the process. Thank you for reading my message, and I look forward to sharing my guidance with you soon. With love, your friend Catherine.
217.5 Arc x 13 at Sunset Beach

Primary service - a sacred portal between spiritual worlds or states of life. This unusual sculpture is located on Sunset Beach, adjacent to the end of Jervis Street, erected on the same spot where the original ancient magical portal between worlds was first discovered. Centuries ago, a vibrant and powerful tribe thrived on this shoreline, establishing their village entrance precisely where the Arch is today. At that time, the waters were much lower, and what we now know as False Creek did not yet exist. The tribe built their village entrance at this location, which acted as a portal connecting them to other realms and unlocking powerful abilities for those knowledgeable in its use. As the tribe grew in power and their confidence turned into prideful arrogance, they waged war against neighboring tribes, including those who lived in present-day Stanley Park, believing they were superior due to the supernatural talents they had gained through the portal. This conflict led to the eventual disappearance of many tribes and prompted the shamans of Stanley Park to create a protective spiritual wall around their lands against any nefarious invasions. This sacred barrier extended across the lands that are known now as the Lost Lagoon Lake, an area that was once a battleground before it became a body of water. Today, the bridge across the lake symbolizes the connection between two distinct lands, and this was the place of most battles. Instead of the bridge, this place was heavily guarded by the tribes of both lands. Presently, this Arch serves as a portal between worlds, allowing magicians to enter any realms of their choosing. It is a place of empowerment, hidden knowledge, and even soul retrieval, accessible to those with pure intentions. This sacred Arch offers a transformative pathway on any path of spiritual awakening. It acts as a bridge between different states of existence and stages of life. For those looking to transition between life chapters, walking through the Arch with intention can empower the process and amplify the honest dreams of one’s heart. This walk should be made toward the waters of Burrard Inlet, accompanied by intentions and prayers for the desired outcomes while completely surrendering to life and genuinely welcoming the future.
The House of Lost Souls - Coal Harbour

Primary service - a sanctuary for lost or stranded souls. Situated at the end of Jervis Street in Coal Harbor, directly across from the Arch on the other end of the street, this place features a sculpture of sacred, spiritual significance that is interconnected with the Arch and whose magic can be united in ceremonies. The House of Lost Souls serves as a sanctuary, a secluded haven for lost souls in transition— those moving between worlds or states of existence. This can be a transition to the other side, but mainly, the House shelters those souls who lost connection with their bodies. Anyone who lives in Vancouver can understand why this place is of such significant importance, as too many stranded souls struggle to communicate with their bodies. Souls caught between worlds or trapped in the underworld of lost souls can spend their transitional period here, recharging and reconnecting to the physical world. The surrounding area acts as a space for prayer and reflection for loved ones of lost or stranded souls. Any souls who are trying to return from the darkest places of existence back to their bodies heal through spending time in the House and connecting with the nourishing and empowering energies of Spirits of Coal Harbor. The Spirits of Coal Harbor serve as guardians and compassionate friends, aiding those who seek to reconnect with their beloved or find solace during their grief. This positive energy promotes healing and connection, often expressed through poems, songs, or prayers, which manifest white magic and amplify sincere intentions. Conversely, any destructive or disruptive actions around the house are seen as harmful to the vulnerable souls, as they can disturb the calming energy of this sacred space. The House itself and the Spiirts of Coal Harbor should be approached with reverence and respect, as any foul, disrespectful, or harmful behavior around the house can potentially hurt those souls who are already struggling.
Moon Circles of Tides - David Lam Park

Primary service - enhancing communication with the spiritual world, portals into other spiritual dimensions. The Spirits of David Lam Park take pride in providing their lands for celebrations and music festivals. They love when people use their lands to enjoy the beauty of life. They also cherish commitments between lovers, welcoming weddings and other vows performed on their grounds. Additionally, they assist lovers in resolving differences and finding back to each other after conflicts or misunderstandings. The moon circles act as portals to other dimensions, supporting the Spirits in their work to advance people on their spiritual paths. The Right Circle is a source of heart empowerment, enabling anyone to reconnect with their true feelings, practice commitments, and create magic that enhances their personal journeys. This can be expressed through music, poetry, prayer, drumming, or sacred fire on the central rock within the circle. The left Circle is a portal into Purgatory and the Underworld, assisting individuals in bashing negative energies and resolving misunderstandings between couples. Both Circles possess powerful spiritual allies ready to assist those in doubt or pain. The left Circle, in particular, is a potent source for cleansing and removing negativity, fostering peace and clarity in relationships. While the energies of both Circles can be utilized with or without the power of water, the presence of the tide inside the Circles amplifies the magic. It is crucial to understand when water benefits a ritual, especially when addressing destructive or evil energies through the left Circle. The spirits of the waters and Circles themselves can provide guidance on this matter if they are approached for advice.
Buntzen Lake

Primary service - rejuvenation, inspiration, and spiritual retreat. The waters of the lake are home to the powerful allied Spirits of the Sechelt Lands. Right above the lake, there’s a retreat and spa center for souls where they can restore, rejuvenate, and find a renewed appreciation of their story. The Spirits of the Lake assist people in reconnecting with the most empowering dreams of their hearts by providing a safe space for rest. The Spirits enjoy providing assistance and healing to the souls in stress or trouble. They also like to help find inspiration in work or art, strengthen personal connections with intuition, and refine the ideas of art projects. During the time spent in the domain of Spirits, whether in the water or exploring the trails around the lake, people can quickly restore their energies and find new beauty in life. The mountains around the lake can be used for moon circles rituals for sharing gratitude and blessings with beloved or spiritual allies.
